Instagram publishing requires a Business or Creator account — Personal accounts can't post via the API. If you're on Personal, convert first (steps below).
Convert Personal → Business (in the Instagram app)
- Open the Instagram app → Profile → three-line menu → Settings and privacy.
- Account type and tools → Switch to professional account.
- Pick Business (or Creator — both work with kuhukoo).
- Follow the prompts. You'll also need to link a Facebook Page during this flow.
Connect from kuhukoo
- Connections → + Add connection → Instagram Business.
- Sign in via Meta (uses the linked Facebook account).
- Grant permissions.
- Pick the IG account + Facebook Page to link.
Common gotchas
- "No Instagram Business accounts found" — you're still on Personal. Convert first.
- "Page not found" — you're not admin of the Facebook Page attached to that IG account.
- Reels-only accounts — kuhukoo supports both feed posts and Reels; no separate connection needed.
